Joining the bandwagon~

This awesome idea is from =nayruasukei.

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA for the sake of privacy.

** Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf this forum ( [link] ) and browse the lists. Here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

I'll try making this short. xD

1. A Lolita outfit. I love lolita so much, I but I just can't afford it. I don't care how complex or simple, I just want an outfit. Even just PART of an outfit. Even just a hair accessory or cardigan or something! I can work my way up to a full outfit bits by bits!

2. Things to help me learn Japanese the RIGHT way. I really want to visit someday, I'm obviously never going to learn by listening to Jpop and watching Anime. Things like My Japanese Coach (for the DS), and different kinds of books/DVDs would help a lot. I would LOVE to get Rosetta Stone but it's extremely expensive.

3. I really love things that were made especially for me. So sending me something in the mail with little notes/drawings/little stupid things that were made/put in there just for me would be the best thing you could ever do.

4. A video camera. Or a digital camera that can also take video. I know dA can't do this for me, but god the things I could do with one.

5. A long, black&white striped cardigan. I want a lot of nicer clothes but if that's the ONLY article of clothing I got all christmas I'd be ridiculously happy with it.

6. This is something dA can't help me with, but I wish I had more money for my cosplay&sewing. I love doing it but I feel bad when my parents pay for it and I'm too young/in-experienced to get a job for myself.

7. All the luck, prayers, and wishes possible that I'll become a singer--hell, even get accepted into Denver School of the Arts--both are looking pretty complicated to get done so far, and this is one of the few things in this world I am willing to work my ass off day and night to get to.

8. This is really big and I don't think it could be granted, but a nicer iPod. And when I say nicer, I mean more space. 2 GB is NOT enough for me. Ever. I would especially prefer a pink, purple, or blue ipod nano (one of the newer ones). I love love love my music an d it is really important to me. Even accessories for it would be AWESOME, like nice/maybe colored? earbuds (the ones that have this sort of design [link] I HATE the ones you're supposed to shove in your ear), and maybe a skin for a 1st gen. nano.

9. Art supplies. I love drawing but I can't make quality work because all I really have is a pencil, crayola colored pencils and an inking pen out of a how to draw chibis book from a craft store. xD This ranges to anything from inking pens/nice pencils/erasers to sketchbooks. I also really REALLY want a tablet, but I doubt any of you could help me with that unless you happened to have an extra tablet lying around. LOL.

10. I would love some cute accessories or maybe even a top from any section of Shana Logic: [link] I just love their stuff so much but I have no money ;A;
